In the last couple of years, hip-hop records with pop/dance infusion have become a mainstream juggernaut. Artists like LMFAO and Flo-Rida have opened doors for a wide variety of talented musicians. Next on that list is Toronto-bred Rippa.
Beginning to record at age 13, Rippa recorded his first studio single a year later. Since then he developed an interest in producing/audio engineering that naturally evolved into DJ’ing at clubs an house parties all over Ontario. His success has given him opportunities to open for international acts like Elephant Man, Collie Buds, Mr. Vegas and fellow Canadian Danny Fernandez.
Rippa’s latest single “Drinks Up” immediately displays his energetic, fun-loving style that matches his motto “Go Live Life.” The sound is reminiscent of party anthems that have come from the likes of LMFAO, and as previously mentioned we all know how that turned out. Collaborations with Beat Merchant, T-Minus, and Pro Logic have proven that Rippa is a well-respected artist within the musical community. Because of his energy and fun lyrics, Rippa will surely become a fixture in clubs all across Canada and the United States as well. He clearly has a sound that people love and he obviously has the dedication and desire to make a winning situation for himself.
