{PMONKZ CHAT} EDWARD FORTUNE'S 10MINS WITH CHUDDY K
The person Mr. Edward Fortune has for us this week is who we all know.
He gave us a feel of what R n B should sound like when he dropped his very first single titled: SLOW SLOW. Though he sounded so much like Wande coal, he still didn't allow the thoughts of that hinder him from proving that music is the only thing he was born to do. He did a couple of collaborations with several artistes and one of which was a chat bursting track, SHAMPOO, that had sexy miss Mocheddah on it. He went low a little after couple of marketing deals went bad and he decided to re-brand himself so he could give his fans a feel of some "GAGA CRAZY" things. He was about jetting out for his Malaysia trip when i caught up with him at the departure wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport and he was kind enough to spare 10 minutes out of his time. Chukwudi Kent Agali, better known to the public as "Chuddy K", believe me he's a down to earth and very humble gentle man. You just need to meet with him and you would have a fulfilled day. Enjoy my very short conversation with him:
*E.F:- Gaga crazy is actually making everyone crazy right now. How does it feel to be d rave of the moment?
Am so grateful to God and my fans for the love and support so far and for the accolades giving to me for the song. I fell like working even more to be a better role model for young one's out there and to reach out to d world at large.
*E.F:- Did you foresee the song going this far while you were recording?
I knew it was a great song right from when I dropped my first line on my beat. Thumbs up to my producer Spells for such a great production, because it became Dj's favorite and Am extremely grateful.
*E.F:- What inspired the song?
Loads of my female fans and male all wanted a chuddy k's song to dance to. So I decided to make my next single a dance hall/party song for them.
*E.F:- You used to be known for the “love and slow song thing", why the drift all of a sudden?
I am versatile in my work! I am not just an R n b singer; I can give u the ginger. I can make u dance. I can make u sing along. So it all depends on the kind of beat my producer offers me; and then u can't categorize me to RnB alone because am a Nigerian and I identify with Nigerian genre of music.
*E.F:- Aside gaga crazy, what should we be expecting again?
Watch out for Egusi, Sunday morning etc.
*E.F:- Your voice and that of Wande Coal sounds alike, how do u feel each time you hear such comments?
We come a long way so we are brothers from different ends and we cool. So each time the comment comes up, I just feel good knowing that it’s a positive remark.
*E.F:- Final words to your fans.
Want to say a very big thank you all, the brands, ACADA magazine, and all media houses that has given me the chance to be heard. Want to say God bless them all and their efforts would never be in vain. To all my fans, you should continue dancing to my music, request for it on radios and TV stations, make it both your caller tunes and ringtones. That just goes to show how much love you all have for me. God go make you bigger oh! I definitely promise not to disappoint.

{PMONKZ MUSIC} DRINK UP BY RIPPA
In the last couple of years, hip-hop records with pop/dance infusion have become a mainstream juggernaut. Artists like LMFAO and Flo-Rida have opened doors for a wide variety of talented musicians. Next on that list is Toronto-bred Rippa.
Beginning to record at age 13, Rippa recorded his first studio single a year later. Since then he developed an interest in producing/audio engineering that naturally evolved into DJ’ing at clubs an house parties all over Ontario. His success has given him opportunities to open for international acts like Elephant Man, Collie Buds, Mr. Vegas and fellow Canadian Danny Fernandez.
Rippa’s latest single “Drinks Up” immediately displays his energetic, fun-loving style that matches his motto “Go Live Life.” The sound is reminiscent of party anthems that have come from the likes of LMFAO, and as previously mentioned we all know how that turned out. Collaborations with Beat Merchant, T-Minus, and Pro Logic have proven that Rippa is a well-respected artist within the musical community. Because of his energy and fun lyrics, Rippa will surely become a fixture in clubs all across Canada and the United States as well. He clearly has a sound that people love and he obviously has the dedication and desire to make a winning situation for himself.
{PMONKZ CHAT} 10 mins with Dolon-dolo by Edward Fortune
He’s young and very dynamic in his own ways. Music is his pain and passion and that’s why ROBERT EZE EBUBE a.k.a DOLONDOLO would never consider quitting music for anything. I was priviledge to hangout with him for 10minutes and the whole drive to know what exactly DOLONDOLO means was one of the reasons why I went in search of this humble, jovial and very determined dude. Enjoy my small chat with the “KONKO MANAMANA” crooner himself….
YOUR REAL NAME?
Eze Robert Ebube and am from Enugu State
DOLONDOLO, WHAT EXACTLY DOES THAT MEAN?
Dolondolo means struggle or keep pushing based in the igbo term 'ndolo ndolo'. But also it means 'My style" because it defines me..
WHATS BEEN HAPPENING TO YOU MUSICALLY?
Well I have been in the studio working. Though I had to take time out to finish school and be done with. Thank God its over now and am here now. Lets say I have been doing my underground assignment to take my place in the Music industry.
YOUR NEW SONG, EXPLAIN THE WHOLE CONCEPT.
Hmm, well I would say am dropping a couple of songs back to back. But my first single is titled 'Konko Manamana' meaning Dance Hard. Its a dance and feel good song, Just to make you feel good and understand more of my slangs such as “Rumba” and the rest..(if you have listened to the song, you would understand what i mean)
YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC, WHATS IT CALLED?
I would say its Afro Pop but as an artiste, versatility should be a necessity for you to be exceptional and I love all genre of music so I listen wide as long as it feels good,I wanna do it. So permit me to say I do feel good music.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU?
Like I said, am working so much in the studio, recording songs.Meeting producers and various artists. I have worked with Rayce, Ice prince, Dtunes , Chopstix and still planning on doing more. Am also running promotions and planning on touring around the country pretty soon. Maybe later I would love to go into movies because I am very good at acting and mimicking stuff. But right now, I am basically focused on my music.
MUSIC FOR YOU, WHATS THE DRIVE?
My drive is my emotion. Because to me music is my passion, pleasure and pain. When I am happy, I define it in my music and when am sad I do the same. I just wanna do music no matter what. So I would say what drives me in music is my emotion. I just love music no matter what

{PMONKZ BOOK REVIEW} EVERYTHING GOOD WILL COME BY POETOBY
Everything Good Will Come by Sefi Atta, won the Wole Soyinka prize for literature in 2006.
This Novel tells the story of Enitan, a young Nigerian woman growing up in her native homeland coping with the demands of the patriarchal society that encompasses her. Enitan is raised in a divided home struggling to identify herself in the midst of her mother’s strong religious beliefs and her father’s manipulative political ways. Due to her being an only child and the death of her brother, her parents have strict demands that restrict her from having a normal childhood. Her rebellious nature is first seen when she defies her mother’s wishes and leaves the house on Sundays to play with the girl next door, Sheri, who is considered “yellow” because her father is Muslim and her mother is a white English woman. Sheri is a young girl who is sassy with a rebellious nature, constantly testing those around her, while craving the attention of any man. Their friendship builds as they continue to defy Enitan’s mother by seeing each other. The girls are soon forced to separate; Enitan is sent to a school across seas to receive a better education than those offered in Lagos. Her father, an educated lawyer, wants the best for Enitan and hopes that she will take over his firm once she has finished school and proves herself as a lawyer. Sheri and Enitan keep in touch, writing letters back and forth telling about school, boys, and when they will meet again. During a holiday visit home, Enitan and Sheri met and went to a party. Enitan, who doesn’t feel comfortable in the situation, wants to leave. On her way out, she witnesses the three men pinning Sheri down raping her and bruising her body as they degrade her. The image of Sheri’s rape affects Enitan’s ability to allow herself to trust men. The aftermath of Sheri’s rape leads to a partial termination of their friendship and Sheri being sent to the hospital due to the attempt to abort
Years pass and Enitan returns to Lagos to stay with her father and work under him to start her career as a lawyer. Enitan runs into Sheri one afternoon and reconnects from there. Sheri is a mistress to a Muslim brigadier, who pays for her living and gives Sheri a good life. Sheri believes in playing the system rather than settling down with a man because she is aware of the lack of individualism a woman receives once she becomes married in their society.
Enitan gradually becomes closer with a man by the name of Niyi Franco, a struggling artist who is separated from his only child who was taken away by his ex-wife when they moved to Britain. This relationship quickly becomes a marriage. Enitan at first feels comfort and safety in Niyi’s arms, but their relationship is soon tested when Enitan refuses to submit herself to his demanding ways. She fails to carry a child for him and in addition to the stress from her failing marriage, her father’s political outspokenness forces her to defend his statement resulting in nights in jail. Enitan proceeds to join a group of women in the fight against the government for women’s rights during her pregnancy. Her drive to make change is frowned upon by her husband who wants her to stay at home and take on “women-like” tasks. Niyi’s lack of support for his wife’s beliefs, along with her unwillingness to concede to Niyi’s requests, leads to their separation. Enitan continues to stand up for what she believes in: wanting women to have the ability to choose whether or not they will be submissive in society with hopes for individuality.

{PMONKZ} 360 BEACH-BAR
BEACH BAR LIKE NO OTHER : Story of 360 beach bar
Lagos or Lasgidi as it is popularly called is a coastal area with a large vast of the atlantic ocean along the coast of Victoria Island with so many sea side views.
Gone are those days when Bar Beach held sway in the hospitality business, but presently if you wanna have fun and you have not been to Eleguishi Private Beach, you will be regarded as JJC.
Eleguishi Private Beach is situated at the heart of high brow Lekki area after 3rd Roundabout, it is named after the ruling Royal family of Ikate-land in Eti Osa.
You cannot talk about Elegushi Private Beach without mentioning 360 Degrees Beach Bar owned by pint sized Akeem, popularly called Ak360 among friends, when Elegushi Beach first opened their gates for business in 2009, there was nothing like a beach bar in the hood , but a visionary young man in the person of Ak360 saw the opportunities that abound, he took the bull by the horn and made it a task to succeed. According to Akeem "it was not an easy ride making 360 Degrees what it is today, initially you could count the number of people at the beach, we barely had good sales" However, due to the belief and persistence of Ak360, he kept the flame burning, but now things are not the same as before, it is now a success story for 360 Degrees Beach Bar with a lot of fun seekers and array of celebrities trooping in every weekend.
Anyone can stick up a shack on the sand, stock it with beers and call it a beach bar but what makes a great beach bar? 360 Degrees is a first choice amongst beach goers perhaps because of the availability of all sorts of drinks from Champagne to French Cognac , Spirits and other expensive drinks. No wonder super stars like Wande Coal , Rugged man, Davido etc considered it good enough to party there at different times, with its excellent customer care service that has left their rivals scrambling for attention, 360 Degrees Beach Bar is also a perfect venue for birthday parties and other events, These qualities got the 360 Degrees the award for 'The Best Youth Hang-out' at the last Dynamix Awards.
Apart from being the first beach bar to birth at Eleguishi Private Beach, 360 bar has also made name for itself with its in house Djs that constantly dish out good music from the well positioned giant speakers at the bar. On his part, Ak360 attributes the success story to the grace of God , he seems to be the type that doesn't rests on his laurels, with ongoing plans to upgrade facilities to international standards, Ak also regularly shows his generous nature by giving out free Tequila shots occasionally. Next time you wanna have fun with your family or friends, 360 Degrees Beach Bar might be the perfect place to be.
There's one thing about the place, once you’ve been there, you inevitably start planning to get back there someday, somehow.

{PMONKZ BOOK REVIEW} DISGRACE BY POETOBY
"Disgrace" is a Novel written by South African born J.M Coetzee. The author was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature four years when "Disgrace" was published. This Novel explore the authenticity of South Africa contemporary and social life, a novel which hold the extremity of human significance at a dis-satisfactory level.
The central character is a confusing person, at once an intellectual snob who is contemptuous of others and also a person who commits outrageous mistakes. His story is also local; he is a white South African male in a world where such men no longer hold the power they once did. He is forced to rethink his entire world at an age when he believes he is too old to change and, in fact, should have a right not to.
David Lurie is a South African professor of English who loses everything: his reputation, his job, his peace of mind, his good looks, his dreams of artistic success, and finally even his ability to protect his own daughter. He is twice-divorced and dissatisfied with his job as a communications lecturer, teaching one specialized class in romantic literature at a technical university in Cape Town in post-apartheid South Africa. His "disgrace" comes when he seduces one of his students and then does nothing to protect himself from the consequences. Lurie is working on Lord Byron at the time of his disgrace, and "the irony is that he comes to grief from an escapade that Byron would have thought distinctly timid.
He is dismissed from his teaching position, after which he takes refuge on his daughter's farm in the Eastern Cape. For a time, his daughter's influence and natural rhythms of the farm promise to harmonise his discordant life. But the balance of power in the country is shifting. Shortly after becoming comfortable with rural life, he is forced to come to terms with the aftermath of an attack on the farm in which his daughter is raped and impregnated and he is violently assaulted.
