Over the years, we have seen rap entertainers and their talents go waste. We are here to do something about it. We understand how difficult it is to make it in this industry without the personal help of someone with major clout.
We are giving upcoming rap artistes the opportunity to participate in a rap contest and also, to get promoted in a different way.
STFU & RAP is a bimonthly rap contest organised by Party Monkz Entertainment and O'Boy Entertainment.
A beat would be online, participating rappers will download and do a 1minute freestyle on it. The in-house judges will work on it till we get final 5.
It will be in 3 stages: Preliminary (all comers) semi final stage (20 contestants) Final stage(5 contestants).
It'll run for 3weeks and the result will be posted on our blog and different blogs.
On the last day, the standing 5 contestants will battle at an open mic session at Koko Lounge.
The judges and the audience will pick the final winner.
The winner will be given a production and promotional package for his/her 2 tracks courtesy of O'boy Records and also 1 track Record deal courtesy of Mayor's Ville Entertainment.
Also a special 1month full online promotion by scoopNaija.
*Top 5 finalists will perform live on radio at CityFm on the 28th of Sept.
*Top 5 finalists will perform live on radio at EkoFm on the 28th of Sept.
*Top 5 finalists also have the chance to perform at Cool Fm Jam Session, Ember Creek
*The winner will go live on radio at EkoFm.
PROCESS:
1*Register- like the facebook page (facebook.com/pmonkz) and drop your bio with pix.
2*Write your lyrics and drop it on the facebook link.
3*People will vote for your lyrics which counts for 60% while our judges too scrutinizes and that's based on 40%. We'll then pick the top 20.
4*The 20 contestants will come to the studio, drop their lyrics on the beat and we'll upload it back online. 5*Audience and judges will vote for top 5.
6*The top 5 will battle at an open mic at Koko lounge on the 1st of Oct.
TITLE
The winner is called CALLIDUS REX and this is the 1st edition, so its a search for the "CALLIDUS REX : 1st Incarnate"
LYRICS
Contestants started submitting Lyrics on the 7th of Sept. and the competition started officially on the 10th Of Sept.
The registration, submission of lyrics and voting ended on the 13th of Sept. by 11:59PM.
TABLE OF TRUTH (T.O.T)
This simply means, the screening of the lyrics by judges.
This took place on the 15th of Sept. by 11:00Am at Conerest Hotel.
The judges were Psalmurai, Black Rabbi, DiplomaticSound and Xxl.
EMERGENCE OF TOP 20 CONTESTANTS.
By 11:58pm on the 15th of Sept, the top twenty contestants were put back online.
We had a Formula for calculating the voters percentage which is put at 60%, it is : R/H x 60
Where R = Rappers vote. H= Highest vote.
The criteria for the 40% of the judges screening are :-

3- Depth - 5
4- Theme - 5
5- Grammar - 5
6- General Intelligent - 5
7- Judge's discretion - 5

STUDIO SESSION
We divided the top twenty to two batches, 1st 10 will be attended to in our studio on Monday, 17th of Sept., while the remaining 10 will occupy Tuesday, 18th of Sept.

ONLINE UPLOAD, VOTING AND JUDGING
The 20 recorded songs will be uploaded back online by 11:50pm on the 18th of Sept. (Tuesday) and voting starts immediately.
Voting will end on Sun, 23rd of Sept. by 11:59pm.
Our judges will have to drop 15 contestants on Monday, 24th of Sept. after the in-house screening.
*The top 5 will be going to CityFm on the 28th of Sept. where they'll have the chance to perform live on radio on the HipHop Ride show
GRAND FINALE
This will take place at Koko Lounge, starting from 6:00pm till 10:00pm on the 1st of Oct.
The judges are:-
1- Vector
2- Kshow of City Fm
3- Kraft
4- B-Elect
This is where the "Callidus Rex : 1st Incarnate" will be chosen in an open mic session.
Callidus Rex will be given a 3track record deal courtesy of O'Boy Music (2tracks) n Mayor's Ville Entertainment (1 track).
A full one month online promotional deal with Scoop Naija.
* After the grand finale, the top 5 will have the chance to perform live on stage at the CoolFm's Jam Session holding at Ember Creek.
